Hello! 

So this is me, doing one of my least favorite things, posing for photos, but I thought I at least should introduce myself:

I’m Magnus, I live in Gothenburg, Sweden but spend most of my time on the road for both work and leisure. I do not really consider myself to be a photographer, simply because I rarely grab a camera with the explicit purpose of making photos (it do happens but it’s rare) and I usually do not have a clear idea of what kind of photos I want to take before I do it. A “proper” photographer for me is either an artist wanting to express something, using the camera as a tool for doing so, or someone documenting phenomena for posterity for educational, informative or entertainment purposes by means of a camera. I belong to neither of those categories but here’s the thing; I travel a lot and when I do I usually also walk a lot, often for 10-12 hours a day, since I feel this is the best way to get to know a new place for real. With me on these walks I always take one of my cameras and that together with the places I see, the people I meet and the reflections I make then decides what kind of photos I end up with. Consequently I don’t have a photographic style I call my own and you will therefore find everything from portraits and landscapes to street photography and wildlife here, all depending on what I’ve done and where I went.

I don’t take photos, I take snapshots of my life as and when I experience it. It’s a trip and you can join me!

Equipment

While I must confess that I’m somewhat of a geek and a gear head when it comes to technical gadgets and do enjoy dwelling in reviews, specifications and performance, and therefore probably change gear more often than I really need to, cameras are in the end something of a tool to me. I have no emotional attachment to my cameras and I do not really care about the technical details as long as the camera suits me and my purposes. That in the end also means that I tend to use the gear best suited for the specific situation.
